Privacy note
Short version: I keep your email to tell you about Between the Trails, and nothing else.
What I collect
Your email address, the ad or link that brought you here (for example "utm_content=woodpecker"), the country your visit came from, and the date you signed up. If you answer the survey, I keep your answers. Survey answers are linked to your signup by a random ID, not by your email.
What I use it for
To tell you when Issue 1 of Between the Trails is ready, to send the occasional trail note while I work on it, and to understand which ads and ideas people responded to. I don't sell or share your email with anyone.
Ads and the Meta Pixel
This site uses the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure whether the Facebook and Instagram ads work. Meta and other third parties may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect information from this site and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to measure and target ads. When you sign up, a hashed (scrambled) version of your email is sent to Meta for ad measurement. You can learn more and opt out of interest-based ads at aboutads.info/choices and in your Facebook ad settings.
Where it lives
Signups are stored in a private Cloudflare database. Survey answers are stored with Tally.
Getting removed
Reply to any email from me, or write to [email protected], and I'll delete your email and survey answers.
